We equip communities with knowledge to make health-conscious decisions through health literacy, school health education, and behavioural change initiatives, focusing on hygiene awareness, nutrition, disease prevention and healthy ways of living.
The organisation prioritises health-related issues and engages in preventive health measures through screening for non-communicable diseases, such as cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and testing of people to screen out persons at high risk of infectious disease through the Mobile Outreach project to bring health services to communities.
We also support families with access to quality family planning and reproductive health services, maternal care, child immunisations, and child wellness programs, helping to reduce preventable deaths and ensuring healthier mothers and children.
We boost rural and peri-urban livelihoods through improved animal health solutions. We provide animal vaccination and treatment, deworming and productivity enhancements to assist farmers in protecting their animals, increasing outputs and improving food security.
We raise awareness to end the stigma and silence associated with mental health issues. We offer education on the causes, nature and signs of stigma, depression, anxiety disorders, substance abuse and psychosis. We also offer support through a network of care for those who have been diagnosed and their families, so that they seek mental care with fewer stigmas.
In a peaceful atmosphere and on a clear sky, on Friday, 24th “Pink October” 2025, a Free Medical Screening exercise was organised at the premises of the Denu Police Station, an initiative by Dr. Gabriel Nkansah, the Medical Director of Central Aflao Hospital (CAH), Pln. Reginald Adjei, CEO of EMPACT REACH LBG, and Hon. Israel Bossman, the Assembly Member of Denu, Ketu South Municipality. The outreach event was to raise community health awareness, provide basic medical care, and detect untreated illnesses among residents, particularly vulnerable groups.
The exercise benefited 148 individuals of all ages (119 females and 29 males, consisting 4 Persons with Disabilities). Between 8:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., the beneficiaries were served. The services provided during the outreach were breast cancer screening, blood pressure and blood sugar testing (fasting blood sugar and random blood sugar levels), typhoid and hepatitis B and C testing, malaria screening, health education, and individual medical consultation and counselling. Beneficiaries who required additional care were referred for further medical assessment and subsequent treatment.
The team thanked Hon. Israel Bossman for his hospitality and support in mobilising community members. Our heartfelt appreciation also goes out to the CAH staff and health outreach team for upholding professionalism, being empathetic, and compassionate. Also, to our committed health volunteers who ensured the success of the exercise. The event reaffirmed our commitment to improving access to primary healthcare and empowering local communities through preventive health education. The outreach event was covered by the ewe24TV, a vibrant local TV station.
